Our very own Master Technician, Brandon, was looking for a creative way to propose to his girlfriend Diana. He knew that he didn’t want to use any of the clichéd proposal ideas that we all have seen time and time again. He wanted to do something that would express his feelings, while being creative, unique and innovative.
What do you do when your creative talent is essentially rooted in integrating custom audio systems into vehicles – a skill that doesn’t exactly translate into proposing marriage? Brandon chose to build a custom subwoofer system in Diana’s 2015 Kia Forte, and use it to “pop the question.” Diana would have no idea that when she opened her trunk, she’d actually be opening up the door to one of the most memorable moments in her life.
Here are the audio details for those who are less interested in the sappy love story. Brandon chose a JL Audio 13W3v3 subwoofer for this application. It provides a great balance of reasonably loud output, sound quality and low frequency extension, while maintaining a healthy balance of usable trunk space vs. enclosure size. All of the trim panels are bolted in place using threaded inserts and the enclosure is bolted to the vehicle using nutserts, making everything extremely serviceable. Everything in the trunk could be removed in a matter of just a few minutes, and then reinstalled with complete precision in just a few minutes as well.
Brandon fabricated the acrylic “Will you marry me?” panel with a level of precision that allows for it to be easily replaced with another acrylic panel with something else to be displayed … such as our store logo.

Nice sharing for how to do the install a subwoofer, amplifier and enclosure on the car or vehicle right location to perfect setting. It is a very helpful post for those who want to fix a subwoofer on their rider location.
